Nestlé India launches KIT KAT Dessert Delight on Bigbasket

INDIA – The Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) major, Nestlé, has launched the all-new KIT KAT Dessert Delight on a popular online food and grocery store, Bigbasket and thus extended its presence online.

“KIT KAT has been a benchmark for innovation in the coated wafer category. Keeping the brand’s ethos in mind, we aim to provide an exciting new offering to our consumers through KIT KAT Dessert Delight.

This not only has a unique taste inspired by Desserts, but also a very distinct ‘finger-tablet’ shape with 12 shareable cubes.

It comes in an all-new premium packaging and will initially be launched in select cities”, said Mr. Nikhil Chand, General Manager, Chocolates & Confectionery, and Nestlé India while speaking about the launch.

The product will be available at MRP of INR 55 (50g pack) in select cities and online on Bigbasket until it is completely launched across the country.

“We recognize that e-commerce would be a key channel for FMCG players in future. To drive awareness and excitement about the all-new innovation – KIT KAT Dessert Delight, we have decided to take an innovative approach and have partnered with ‘Bigbasket’.

We look forward to seeing how e-commerce will transform shopping behaviour and consumer habits,” said Nikhil Chand, General Manager, Chocolates and Confectionery, Nestle India.

FMCG is increasingly looking forward to quick distribution and reach of their products, the ability to experiment and fine tune marketing where it has actively been involved in online marketing of the KIT KAT Dessert Delight, for the first time in India.

“India is witnessing a paradigm shift in the way marketing is carried out for various products. This includes a change in the way products are launched.

Today, many major players prefer launching their products online, thanks to the growth of ecommerce and online shopping.

This association with Nestle India will help us in extending our reach to more customers and give us the much-needed push to scale greater heights,” said Hari Menon, Co-Founder and CEO, Bigbasket.
