Arjuna implements sustainable approach in nitric-oxide booster production

INDIA – Arjuna Natural Ltd has implemented a sustainable approach to nitric oxide booster; Amaranthus extract production as demand for boosting nitric oxide levels rise among consumers.

Arjuna produces OxyStorm, a standardized nitrate extracted from red spinach (Amaranthus dubius) that is highly sort after in the US and Europe.

This natural source is sugar free and deliver high nitrate and enhance nitric oxide levels in the body with ability to reduce extreme fatigue and physical weakness during strenuous exercise or physical activity.

Chase Johnston, Director of US Operations for Arjuna said that OxyStorm had gained a good reputation in the US and other countries for its health benefits and high nitrate content.

The products have found application in sports nutrition formulations, bars, beverage powders, chewables, functional Foods and nutrition Powders given the vital role of nitric oxide in cardiovascular health.

According to clinical research, nitric oxide deficiency has been associated with heart failure, hypertension, dyslipidemia, insulin resistance, diabetes mellitus, hyperhomocysteinemia, inflammation and diseases due to smoking.

The highly advanced R$D facility has been up to the task to develop new methods to restore and replete bioactive nitric oxide especially for cardiprotection and support in persons who are active.

The R&D department joins effort with international universities from Australia, US and Japan in production of standardized botanical extracts for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries.

According to the company, creation of the high-nitrate OxyStorm was made possible through a devotion of large tracts of land in South India for production of Amaranthus.

“Arjuna identified an experienced community of local farmers and helped them develop and maintain sustainable farming practices,” said Benny Antony, PhD, Joint Managing Director.

“We trained them to adopt the best practices, focusing on the minutest details, while employing advanced agricultural methods.

This allows the farmers to attain the maximum yield of high-quality Amaranthus, without using any chemicals.”

To achieve sustainability, Arla has invested in environment friendly technologies and the use of clean energy at the manufacturing facility at Coimbatore.

It has also equipped its manufacturing facilities with solar panels to fulfil all its needs of electrical energy required for the manufacturing operations of turmeric extract.
