Nestle expands Nescafe Dolce Gusto range with new Nesquik chocolate pods

UK – Nestle has launched a new range of Nesquik hot chocolate pods for the Nescafé Dolce Gusto system to provide a nostalgic hot chocolate experience for consumers.

Each serving of Nescafé Dolce Gusto Nesquik hot chocolate is a good source of calcium, providing consumers with an indulgent taste and experience.

The new range expands Nestle’s Nescafé Dolce Gusto system, a coffee capsule system with a portfolio comprising of Chococino and Chococino Caramel hot chocolates under the Nescafé Dolce Gusto label.

“I’m delighted to welcome Nesquik to the Dolce Gusto offering,” said Nescafé Dolce Gusto UK & Ireland business unit manager, Richard Howatson.

“Nesquik is a firm family favourite, and a great addition to our current offerings of coffees, hot chocolates and teas.

“We are committed to offering our consumers the widest possible choice in the fast-growing and competitive portioned serve capsule category.”

The launch follows introduction of Nestle’s first range of Starbucks-branded coffee products for the Nescafé Dolce Gusto system in a deal worth US$7.15 billion.

Nestle agreed to acquire the rights to the American coffee chain’s retail brand last year and in February launched 24 products including whole bean and roast and ground, as well as capsules under the brand.

With the deal, Nestle is able to provide premium high-quality Starbucks coffees to customers at home across the world’s most popular single-serve platforms, the Nespresso and Nescafé Dolce Gusto system.

This saw the introduction of Starbucks Caramel Macchiato and Starbucks Americano House Blend Medium Roast to the range in the market.

The Nescafé, Nespresso and Starbucks portfolio gives Nestle a strong position in coffee beverages around the globe.

In March, Nestle unveiled its first organic premium instant coffee offering, Nescafé Gold in the UK to expand its portfolio of healthy, nutritious and organic beverages.

The new variant is made with 100% organic Arabica beans and delivers a smooth, fruity flavour with notes of sweet and sour citrus fruits.
