UK – 2 Sisters Food Group, Birmingham based privately owned food manufacturing company, has appointed former global CEO of Muller, Ronald Kers as its new Chief Executive Officer effective 1 June 2018.

He joined Muller in January 2017 as UK CEO, combining periods of service from Nestle SA where he joined in 2003 responsible for the activities in Austria and Slovenia.

At Muller, he is said to have led the turnaround and transformation of the business thus appointed Global CEO in 2015.

Ker announced in March 2017 that he was to leave Muller, to be replaced by Uwe Sommer, the head of international marketing, sales and global retail at chocolate manufacturer Lindt and Sprungli.

He brings to 2 Sisters years of experience from global FMCG companies at both executive and non-executive roles including Procter & Gamble, Robert Wiseman Dairies plc.

Kers also played a central role in the acquisition of the Minsterley production site, where Cadbury chilled desserts are manufactured and distributed under license, as well as in the acquisition of the NOM Dairy UK Limited in Telford.

2 Sisters believe Kers would take the business performance to the next level given his wide experience in the food industry.

He said that after 25 years as CEO, he was taking on a broader leadership role as President of the BHL group.
