2 Sisters expands Fox’s Biscuits brand with new cookie range in the UK

UK – 2 Sisters group has launched a new cookie range called Double Dough which features two doughs brought together in a single biscuit.

The new variant is available in two flavors strawberries and cream, and salted caramel and fudge brownie which the company said has been created to appeal to shoppers’ continued appetite for innovation and interesting flavour profiles.

It is available in Sainsbury’s with a recommended retail price of £2 for a pack of eight.

“We are excited to launch our brand new Double Dough cookies, which we believe will completely shake up the category.

“Showcasing precision baking never seen before, the new range will offer consumers something genuinely new, and represent an exciting opportunity for retailers looking to drive incremental sales among shoppers eager to expand their biscuit repertoire.

“Launching the range with two classic combinations, we will look to expand the range with additional blends later in 2019, filling a gap in the market for exciting flavour innovations and alternatives to classic chocolate for the whole family to enjoy,” said Fox’s Biscuits senior brand manager Michelle Roberts.

The company said it has invested in new machinery to make the cookies as it is fairly challenging process to bake what is essentially two different doughs into one composite biscuit.

It plans to range with additional blends later in 2019.

Last year, Fox’s whose product portfolio includes cookies, biscuits and biscuit bars, expanded its Party brand with the launch of Party Milkshakes on-the-go biscuits.

They were made available in UK Tesco stores with a recommended retail price of £1.50 per pack of five.

The company then said that its Party Milkshakes aim to add more flavour innovation and choice.

It has reiterated that with the current biscuit category dominated by chocolate flavoured biscuits, the NPD will add more flavour innovation and choice for families to enjoy.
