Danone releases 15 new infant nutrition products in the UK

UK – Danone’s Cow & Gate brand has announced that it will release 15 new infant nutrition products in the UK, and will refresh the packaging of its entire product range.

According to FoodBev, Cow & Gate has released new butternut squash, salmon & courgette and courgette & hake rice jars, and the brand claims the salmon flavour is the first fish recipe suitable for ‘stage one weaning’ available on the market.

Six new yogurt pouch flavours have also been released: Mango & spelt, papaya & wholegrain rice, strawberry quinoa – all made with Greek-style yogurt – as well as apple & pineapple with oats, apple & apricot with millet and apple & strawberry with spelt.

Meanwhile, new cereals have been created for babies up to one-year-old: multigrain porridge with oats & barley, multigrain porridge with buckwheat, orchard fruit multigrain porridge with millet and banana semolina porridge, all of which provide a source of vitamin D and iron for infants.

For babies over a year old, the brand has also created three new meal trays which are based on more mature dishes to provide diverse flavours, such as paella with veggies, chicken & fish; vegetables, chicken and mango curry and tomato, sweet pepper sauce & turkey meals.

To accompany the release of the new products, the brand has also redesigned its packaging which focuses on the ingredients present in the meals and uses green elements to create a more natural feel.

The new products will be available nationwide from UK retailers from mid-June 2018.
