EUROPE – The Finnish food packaging specialist, Huhtamaki Oyj has appointed former Tetra Pak’s Charles Heaulme as new President and Chief Executive effective after the Annual General Meeting on April 26, 2019.
Charles joins Huhtamaki from Tetra Pak, where his latest position has been Vice President Europe and Central Asia since 2015.
He succeeds Jukka Moisio who will be stepping down after a long and successful tenure at the company.
Moisio was named new CEO of the global specialist in packaging for food and drink in 2008 from the position of President and CEO of Ahlstrom Oyj.
“I want to thank Jukka Moisio warmly for his outstanding achievement at the helm of the company for over a decade.
He lifted Huhtamaki from a very difficult position into a solid profitable growth trajectory and to a leading global food packaging company.
Under Jukka Moisio’s lead the company has been able to create significant value for the shareholders,” said Pekka Ala-Pietila, Chairman of the Board.
Speaking on the development, Moisio commented: “I am thankful and proud of what we have achieved together with my colleagues during these years.

Before Tetra Pak, he worked at Bosch Braking Systems, AlliedSignal Automotive, KPMG and BRGM (Bureau de Recherches Geologiques et Minieres) in Gabon.
