AB InBev UK rebrands to Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I in a transformation move

UK – Anheuser-Busch InBev, one of the world’s leading brewing companies has rebranded to Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I in the UK as part of its continued strategy to transform its businesses across the world.

Alongside a new name, the company has announced Paula Lindenberg as its new President who will lead the group’s operations in the UK and Ireland.

Lindenberg joined Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I in January 2019 from the group’s Ambev business in Brazil where she was the Vice President of Marketing and is now based in London.

The company will also open a new London headquarters with a renewed focus on sustainability, smart drinking and championing Britain’s iconic beer community.

The new headquarters are located on Fetter Lane in Farringdon and covers 25,000 sq. ft of flexible working space across the top four floors of the new Bureau building. 

The facility hosts three previously separate offices and 250 employees to give business partners, customers and stakeholders one central hub in which to connect and collaborate.

AB InBev has identified five key ambitions as it strives to grow by double-digits in the UK.

It has committed to champion Britain’s iconic beer culture with trade-boosting programmes for the whole community, from barley farmers to pubs and retail, and create a nation of Smart Drinkers by helping to shift social norms to embrace moderation and cut harmful drinking.

Another ambition is to be the UK’s most sustainable brewer as it works towards brewing with renewable electricity and locally-sourced barley, while promoting apprenticeships, development and diversity.

In line with these ambitions, Budweiser which was selected as the brewer’s most famous global brand will be brewed using 100% British barley and 100% renewable electricity from UK solar power.

It will also offer UK consumers with low and no alcohol choices such as Bud Light and Budweiser Prohibition, in line with the Group’s Global Smart Drinking Goals.

“Through the power and recognition of the Budweiser brand, we want to open ourselves up to working with more partners to achieve our ambitions.

“We are looking forward to making a big impact in the year ahead, working towards brewing our beers with 100% renewable electricity and accelerating our progress towards 20% of our global products being no or low alcohol.”

The group operates three breweries in Samlesbury, Magor and Enfield with some of its top brands including Stella Artois, Budweiser, Corona, Michelob Ultra, Bud Light, Beck’s, Bass and Boddingtons.
