Müller Yogurt & Desserts appoints Michael Inpong as Strategy Director

UK – Müller Yogurt & Desserts, the yogurt manufacturing division of the Müller Group, has named Michael Inpong as the company’s new Strategy Director to help accelerate sustainable and profitable growth of the yogurt brand.

Müller Yogurt & Desserts manufacturers major brands like Müller Corner, Müllerlight and Müller Rice, and produces chilled desserts under licence from Mondelez International, and supplies the UK private label yogurt market from a dedicated state of the art yogurt facility.

Michael was appointed as to the new role early February this year and will serve alongside his current responsibilities as Chief Marketing Officer of the company.

The creation of the Strategy Director role follows the recent senior appointments of Jonathan Piper as Commercial Director, Brand and David Hollins as Commercial Director, Private Label & Food Service.

Müller Yogurt & Desserts created the two new senior roles in December last year to further accelerate progress in branded and private label sales to grocery, convenience and food service channels in the UK and Ireland.

David Hollins replaced Bill Mathieson as the current Commercial Director following his departure from the business in January to take a senior role outside the organisation.

At the time, Bergen Merey, Managing Director at Müller Yogurt & Desserts said that the creation of the two senior roles will align the commercial organisation with the rapidly changing needs of the markets we serve.

“Alongside making great tasting products that are made in Britain with milk from British farms, we will focus on developing and executing a number of strategic initiatives that are not only designed to add taste to life, but will deliver both medium and long term profitable and sustainable growth,” he added.

The appointments form part of Müller’s efforts to strengthen its management team across all its businesses. The dairy group recently appointed Jon Jenkins as the new chief executive officer of Müller Milk & Ingredients (MMI), Müller’s fresh milk, cream, butter and ingredients business.

Jon Jenkins, formerly CEO of Allied Milling and Baking, succeeds Patrick Müller, who has stepped down from his role at MMI after a two-year period.
