Nestlé and Starbucks launch new range of Starbucks instant coffee

SWITZERLAND – Nestlé and Starbucks have continued their innovation streak with the launch of a new range of Starbucks premium instant (soluble) coffee.

The new range consists of Medium Roast and Dark Roast coffees, as well as a variety of coffee beverages and a tea latte available in multi-serve tins and single-serve formats.

The Medium Roast comes as a a smooth and balanced Latin American coffee with creamy notes of milk chocolate and nuts while the Dark Roast is a fuller-bodied, Latin American coffee with a sweet roast flavor and notes of delicious dark chocolate.

The new coffee beverages and tea latte are directly inspired by signature Starbucks beverages, available in Cappuccino, Caffè Latte, Caffè Mocha, Caramel Latte, and Vanilla Latte, as well as tea-based Matcha latte.

The products will make a global debut starting March this year including in the markets like UK, Ireland, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Greater China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and South Africa.

The new range of Starbucks premium instant coffee is the latest innovation co-developed by Nestlé and Starbucks under the global coffee alliance, which in the last year has brought a broad range of new offerings to more than 40 markets.

“The continued strong collaboration between Starbucks and Nestlé enabled us to move at speed and to expand the Starbucks brand into the instant coffee segment.

“We are delighted to keep leveraging our coffee expertise to create new experiences for consumers,” said David Rennie, Deputy Executive Vice President, Head of Nestlé Coffee Brands.

“The instant coffee segment is growing fast globally. With the launch of Starbucks premium instant coffee, we have a new range that resonates with Starbucks consumers and will strengthen our leading position.”

“We’re very excited to introduce our high-quality Starbucks coffees in a premium soluble format for customers to enjoy,” added John Culver, group president, Starbucks International, Channel Development and Global Coffee and Tea.

“The speed in which this innovation came to life is an example of the power of our alliance as we further extend the global reach of Starbucks for our customers and create long-term value for both companies.”

The launch follows the recent introduction of Cold Brew concentrate, Fresh Brew coffee, Starbucks Coffee with Essential Vitamins, Starbucks Coffee with Golden Turmeric and Starbucks Coffee with 2X caffeine in January this year.
