Ugandan coffee exports quantity climb 6.3% fetching US$46.06m in August

UGANDA – One of Africa’s leading coffee exporting countries Uganda, earned US$ 46.06 million from exports of 519,683 bags of coffee each weighing 60kg. According to data by Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA), this was an increase of 6.30% in quantity and a 0.55% decrease in value compared to the same month last year. USA – PepsiCo has reported a 5.3% year-on-year rise in net revenue for its third quarter results for the latest quarter as its beverage business rebounded and strong demand continued amid the pandemic for its snacks and packaged foods. Pakistan to import 200,000 tons of wheat from Russia to control inflation

PAKISTAN – Pakistan plans to buy about 200,000 tons of wheat from Russia as part of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s bid to control inflation by increasing supplies of essential commodities.
