AlFayrooz Poultry Farm has been shut down due to repeated high-risk violations. ADAFSA continues strict inspections to uphold food safety standards.
UAE – The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has ordered the administrative closure of AlFayrooz Poultry Farm, located in the Al Ajban area of Abu Dhabi, for failing to meet food safety regulations.
The establishment, registered under trade licence number CN-1679479, was found in violation of Law No. (2) of 2008 and related legislation governing food safety in the emirate.
According to ADAFSA, the decision followed an inspection report that identified multiple high-risk violations that posed a direct threat to food safety and public health.
The farm failed to implement corrective measures despite previous warnings, prompting authorities to take action.
Inspectors issued four violation notices before the closure, citing serious concerns, including the presence of pests and insects in the facility.
Despite being warned, the farm did not address the infractions adequately, leading to the suspension of its operations.
The closure will remain in effect until all violations are rectified, and the farm meets the necessary food safety requirements.
ADAFSA confirmed that the establishment could resume operations only after proving compliance with regulations and addressing all risks.
As part of its ongoing food safety enforcement, ADAFSA conducts regular inspections to ensure businesses adhere to hygiene and safety standards.
The authority urged the public to report any suspected violations in food establishments by calling the Abu Dhabi Government’s toll-free number, 800555.
The closure comes at a time when the UAE’s poultry sector is growing. Al Ajban Chicken, a major poultry producer in Abu Dhabi, has been expanding its operations with advanced automation and processing technologies.
Established in 1981 as the country’s first natural free-range chicken producer, Al Ajban Chicken has developed into a fully integrated poultry operation, overseeing breeding, processing, and distribution.
The company has recently introduced fully automated processing facilities that meet international hygiene standards, enhancing efficiency and food safety.
The use of robotics in processing lines has improved precision, reduced waste, and minimized human contact, increasing productivity.
With the UAE’s poultry sector expanding, industry players are investing in innovation to meet growing consumer demand while maintaining food safety standards.
