Africa Logistics Expo 2025 to debut in Nairobi, championing sustainable and tech-driven supply chains

The logistics sector is “the backbone of industrial progress,” underscoring the new event’s relevance across multiple value chains.

KENYA – FW Africa, the organiser of Eastern Africa’s largest food and FMCG industry trade shows, has announced the launch of the Africa Logistics Expo 2025, a new event focused on the region’s growing need for sustainable, efficient and technology-driven logistics, mobility and supply chain solutions.

The debut edition of the Africa Logistics Expo will be held from July 2–4, 2025, at the Sarit Expo Centre in Nairobi, Kenya, alongside the 10th edition of the AFMASS Food Manufacturing Expo—the premier platform for the food, agriculture, and fast-moving consumer goods industries in the region.

The co-location of these events is expected to attract over 8,000 trade visitors and conference delegates, with more than 150 local, regional and international companies exhibiting innovations that power modern supply chains.

Logistics takes centre stage

The Africa Logistics Expo is set to bring together the key decision-makers and solution providers who keep the wheels of commerce turning—from transportation and warehousing providers to digital logistics platforms, packaging innovators, and green mobility specialists.

It arrives at a time when African economies are pushing for greater efficiency, sustainability, and integration in the movement of goods and services across borders and industries.

FW Africa CEO Mr. Francis Juma described the logistics sector as “the backbone of industrial progress,” underscoring the new event’s relevance across multiple value chains.

The logistics industry is crucial to the success of virtually every other sector—from food and feed, to home and personal care. None of these industries can sustainably scale or meet market demand without efficient logistics systems. That’s why we believe the Africa Logistics Expo will be a game-changer for the region,” said Mr. Juma.

The Expo will spotlight a wide spectrum of logistics solutions, including freight services, cold chain solutions, industrial parks, warehousing infrastructure, automation technologies, inventory systems, supply chain visibility tools, and sustainable innovations like electric mobility and green packaging.

Stakeholders from food and agriculture, health, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, construction, e-commerce, and many other sectors, will attend the expo.

Strategic platform for a rising sector

According to recent projections, the Middle East and African logistics market generated over US$471.5 billion in 2024 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.3 percent, reaching US$680.3 billion by 2030.

This upward trend is creating new opportunities and challenges that the Expo aims to address.

The event will feature a comprehensive exhibition alongside the Africa Logistics Summit, a high-level conference that will gather business leaders, policymakers, researchers and civil society to explore the future of logistics in Eastern Africa.

Discussions will focus on emerging technologies, policy alignment, trade facilitation, and how African logistics players can scale to compete globally.

Admission to the conference is free, and the organisers expect strong attendance from both the private and public sectors, including investors, innovators, and development partners with a stake in Africa’s trade infrastructure.

Building on a proven platform

The Africa Logistics Expo will benefit from being hosted alongside the AFMASS Food Manufacturing Expo, which has grown into a leading business platform for the food and FMCG industries in Eastern Africa since its launch in 2015.

Now celebrating its 10th edition, AFMASS Food Manufacturing Expo has hosted major regional and global logistics brands such as Isuzu Motors, Hino Motors, Honda Motors, Forbes Marshall, BigCold, Sai Raj, Atlas Copco and EffyKon.

It continues to be a key meeting point for innovators across processing, packaging, retail, and supply chain operations.

The two events, along with co-located shows focused on home and personal care, poultry and animal feed, fresh produce, and hospitality, are designed to facilitate cross-sector business opportunities and regional expansion.

Visitors will experience a multi-dimensional exhibition and conference experience under one roof, reflecting the interconnected nature of modern industries.

Opportunities for exhibitors and sponsors

Organisations looking to showcase their technologies, products and services are invited to reserve exhibition booths and sponsorship packages.

FW Africa offers a range of exhibition options—from shell schemes to customised modular designs—catering to businesses of all sizes and sectors.

Mr. Juma noted that companies participating in the Expo will gain unmatched visibility and access to key markets in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Zambia, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana and beyond.

He added that the timing of the event, at the heart of Eastern Africa’s growing trade ecosystem, is ideal for businesses aiming to expand their footprint in the region.

This Africa Logistics Expo 2025 is more than just a trade show—it’s a strategic growth platform. Whether you’re a technology provider, a logistics operator or a business looking to build efficient supply chains, the Africa Logistics Expo 2025 is where you need to be,” he said.
