CANADA – Ag Growth International Inc., a leading manufacturer of seed, fertilizer, grain, feed and food handling, has announced that it has acquired 100% of shares in Danmare Group Inc., a Canadian provider of engineering solutions and project management services to the food industry.

The acquisition also involved Danmare Group’s affiliate Danmare Inc.

Danmare will play a vital role in AGI’s vision of becoming a leading manufacturer of not only food and feed but also rain handling and grain conditioning equipment.

It will provide engineering solutions and project management services to the food industry, with a specialization in automated systems for pet food, rice and pasta, confectionery, ready-to-eat foods, sauces and meat processing.

AGI facilities in Canada, the United States, Brazil, South Africa and Italy manufactures seed, fertilizer, grain, feed and food handling, blending, storage and conditioning equipment.

The company said that Danmare adds to its processing facilities, farmers, grain traders, processors and port facilities, enabling it expand its brand on a global scale at the same reach its wide customer base with quality products.

Through its worldwide subsidiaries, AGI provides innovative solutions for seed, fertilizer, grain, feed and food handling, storage and conditioning.

To deliver on its global vision as a leader in food and feed industry, the company has put in place various projects including new rice milling system in USA, ready-to-eat capacity upgrade, grain hydrating/blending & sauce production upgrade in Ontario, Canada, among other projects.

According to the company, they completed the largest acquisition in history when they acquired Westeel, a Canadian brand that significantly increased both revenue and market share in grain bins.
