INDIA – The Allana Group, a global agri-commodities firm, has introduced the Indian Poultry Alliance.
The Indian Poultry Alliance incorporates a range of operations, including breeder farms, hatcheries, feed production, broiler contract farming, value-added processing, and rendering facilities.
These facilities are strategically located in regions such as Kashmir, Punjab, Aligarh, Unnao, Kishanganj, Aurangabad, Belgaum, Zaheerabad, and Coimbatore.
The Alliance is positioned to cater to quick-service restaurants (QSRs), food service providers, government agencies, and e-commerce businesses.
The initiative involves collaborations with established industry players like Premium Chick Feed, Kwality Animal Feeds, Kasturi Poultry, and Chatha Foods.
These partnerships will focus on ensuring consistent supply chains, efficient production processes, and a range of processed poultry products.
As part of its sustainability goals, the Alliance will utilize by-products at its rendering plants, which will also support Asia’s largest pet food production facility at the Group’s campus in Zaheerabad.
Moiz Chunawala, Director of Strategic Business Development at Allana Group, outlined the company’s focus on expanding its reach within the poultry sector.
He highlighted plans to develop modern infrastructure, adopt advanced technologies, and implement sustainable practices to meet the growing demand for poultry products in India.
The initiative, which was announced at the Poultry India 2024 event aims to establish an integrated poultry production network in India, covering all aspects of the supply chain.
The country ranks third globally in egg production and fourth in chicken production.
The country’s poultry industry has witnessed steady growth and is projected to grow at an annual rate of 8.1–9.16% through 2032.
In 2023, domestic consumption of poultry meat exceeded four million metric tons, with average chicken consumption per capita rising from 0.88 pounds to 5.5 pounds between 2014 and 2019.
In urban areas, annual per capita chicken consumption is approximately 2.6 pounds, while egg consumption averages 100 eggs per person per year.
The Indian Poultry Alliance is expected to play a key role in addressing this rising demand while meeting the needs of diverse market segments.
