INDIA – Acacia gum manufacturer, Alland & Robert has announced a new joint venture with India’s Sayaji Industries for production of acacia gum for the Indian market.
The 50:50 joint venture will allow Alland & Robert produce acacia gum targeting the agri-food, the pharmaceutical and the cosmetic industries.
The partnership will carry a new name and logo with a focus on manufacturing and supplying premium quality spray dried acacia gum for the growing Indian market.
The new joint venture will be called Alland & Sayaji while the rest of Alland & Robert’s business will remain unchanged.
While Alland & Robert brings in experience in manufacturing natural gums, Sayaji has a strong market understanding in manufacturing food ingredients in the Indian and international market.

Founded in 1941, Sayaji Industries Limited manufactures and sells starches, and its derivatives and bye products for food and beverage, pharmaceutical, consumer product, functional ingredient, animal nutrition and other industries.
The company’s products include modified starches; and liquid glucose, dextrose monohydrate, dextrose anhydrous, sorbitol, and other derivatives.
Acacia gum is used as a natural, safe and healthy ingredient in many of today’s products such as flavours, beverages, confectionery, dairy, bakery, dietary products, pharma and cosmetics.
