USA – Ardent Mills, supplier of multi-use flours and whole grains in the North American market has appointed Chris Meyerpeter as new Chief Information officer and a member of the company’s senior leadership team.
According to the company, Meyerpeter will play the role of overseeing the information technology function, reporting to John Barton, chief financial officer.
He will also ensure that the company delivers on its IT strategy, goals, objectives and at the same time provide the company with long-lasting solutions based on innovative technology.
The strategy will help deliver a wider industry portfolio through its 40-plus mills, mix facilities, and specialty bakeries operating in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
Dan Dye, chief executive officer commented that they were excited to announce Chris as the CIO of Ardent Mills.
With a bachelor’s degree in business from Lindenwood University, St. Charles, Missouri, U.S., the new CIO brings Ardent Mills an extensive experience in building and leading diverse teams to support innovative businesses.
Before the appointment, Meyerpeter worked as senior director of information technology – customer digital experience and in various IT positions at Monsanto Co., St. Louis, US.

Ardent Mills could be eying the higher African population that is said will likely double by 2050.
Ardent Mills joined the likes of General Mills, Cargill, Royal DSM, Bühler and The Hershey Company as a corporate partner in the Partners in Food Solutions group, in a way the company said would expand their reach on a truly international scale.
In Canada, it acquired the Mondelēz Canada flour mill, to add to its capabilities to serve food manufacturers across Canada.
