SWEDEN- Atlas Copco, a leading Swedish multinational industrial equipment supplier, has acquired Oxymat, a Danish provider of on-site oxygen and nitrogen solutions.
The privately held business has production facilities in Denmark as well as in Slovakia. The business has 146 employees.
Oxymat specializes in on-site gas generating systems for a wide range of industries, including aquaculture, water treatment, medical, maritime, and mining.
DF-Druckluft-Fachhandel GmbH, a German online platform and service provider for compressed air solutions is also set to become part of Atlas Copco following a recent acquisition deal.
According to a statement from Atlas Copco, the German online sales platform will become part of the Professional Air division within the Compressor Technique Business Area.
The privately held DF-Druckluft-Fachhandel GmbH, with 39 workers and offices in Germany and Austria, is based in Herrenberg, Stuttgart.
The business was established in 2010 and offers consultancy and solutions for compressed air for several application categories.
“DF-Druckluft-Fachhandel is a well-established company with proven expertise in online sales of compressed air solutions and equipment, making them a good fit for us,” said Vagner Rego, Business Area President Compressor Technique.
He noted that this acquisition will increase their market share in the online business as well as strengthen their service to local customers in this crucial region.
Atlas Copco has recently been in an acquisition spree has increased its market share in both the gas and compressed air sectors through recent acquisitions.
Late last month, Atlas Copco announced completion of the acquisition of Geveke, an Amsterdam-based distributor of compressors and component parts, and its agreement to acquire Montana Instruments Corporation, a provider of cryostat services.
The firm has also just finished acquiring the Singapore-based Bireme Group, a specialist in the treatment of compressed air and gas.
The company specializes in the treatment of compressed air and gas for a broad spectrum of industries ranging from electronics, food and beverage, chemical refineries, and hospitals. It has a service center in Malaysia and has 20 employees.
“Bireme’s expertise, technical know-how and geographical coverage makes it a good fit for us,” said Vagner Rego, Business Area President Compressor Technique. “This acquisition will increase our local presence and accelerate business development in the Asia Pacific region.”
It also purchased FITEC S.A.S., a French distributor of compressors which specialized in the sales and service of rotary screw compressors and ancillary equipment and mainly sells to small and medium-sized industries.
