Atlas Copco Group acquires portable pump distributor Heide Pumpen

The acquisition underscores Atlas Copco’s commitment to strengthen their position in Europe.

GERMANY – Atlas Copco Group, specialising in providing industrial tools and solutions, has acquired Heide Pumpen, a German distributor and service provider of portable pumps.

This acquisition aims to enhance Atlas Copco’s expertise in portable flow solutions and expand its presence in the European market.

Andrew Walker, Business Area President Power Technique, said, “The acquisition of Heide Pumpen provides an excellent opportunity to grow our expertise and presence within the portable flow market.

“Based on the knowledge of Heide Pumpen, we will be able to accelerate our service expertise and presence within portable flow.”

Founded in 1979, Heide Pumpen is headquartered in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, and has locations throughout the country. As part of the acquisition, 42 employees will join the Group.

Heide Pumpen provides high-quality solutions for water management, including dewatering, groundwater lowering, and sediment removal.

Atlas Copco acquires Kyungwon Industry in Korea

Additionally, Kyungwon Machinery Industry Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of oil-injected and oil-free screw air compressors, as well as oil-free scroll air compressors, will become part of the Atlas Copco Group.

“Kyungwon is a well-known brand, and we’re excited to welcome it to the Group. With the company’s technology, we can further enhance our offerings”, said Philippe Ernens, Business Area President Compressor Technique.

The company’s product portfolio includes compressed air and air treatment solutions. Kyungwon provides solutions to a broad range of industries, including food and beverage, automotive, and semiconductor.

Kyungwon is situated in Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do, Korea, and was established in 1968. As part of the acquisition, 126 employees will join the Atlas Copco Group.

Atlas Copco acquires MSS Nitrogen in Sweden

Moreover, the company also acquired MSS Nitrogen, which specialises in the design and manufacturing of onsite gas generation systems, gas mixers, and filtration for laser cutting applications, with locations in the UK and the USA.

“I am pleased to say that this acquisition further enhances the solutions we can provide to our customers in the laser cutting industry and enlarges our portfolio of on-site gas generation”, said Philippe Ernens, President for the Compressor Technique Business Area.

 As part of the acquisition, 44 employees will be joining the Atlas Copco Group. The purchase price has not been disclosed.
