INDONESIA – Azelis, the leading specialty producer and supplier, has announced that it will exhibit at Fi Asia Jakarta, Indonesia, the region’s most prominent food and beverage event, for the first time, expanding its market presence.
According to the company, it expanded into Indonesia with the opening of an office in Jakarta in 2017.
Antonius Utomo Prihantono, Managing Director Azelis Indonesia, has already built teams of experts with diverse backgrounds and excellent knowledge of the local market.
In April this year, Azelis entered into a distribution partnership with CP Kelco to offer their carrageenan, pectin, gellan gum and xanthan gum products for the food segment in Indonesia.
The company added that since it entered the Asia Pacific market six years ago, the company has established a presence in 11 countries, opened 21 offices and 23 application laboratories – including a Personal Care and Food lab in Indonesia.
“Our rapid growth in Asia Pacific is testament to our Principals’ belief in our technical ability to service even the largest customers.
We are able to offer practical support on new development applications and often work in a 3-way partnership with customers and key suppliers.

Azelis added that Ingredion, a leading global ingredients solutions company and manufacturer of starches, will also be on the Azelis stand following the companies’ recent distribution agreement.
Azelis Indonesia currently offers speciality raw materials and innovative ingredients for the agrochemicals, homecare, personal care and food and health markets.
CP Kelco will also be present on the Azelis stand, showing their technical capabilities especially in the area of acidified protein drinks.
Product demos will include yogurt drink, coconut milk infused with pineapple juice, bake stable jam, dairy based drinkable jelly and high protein chocolate milk.
