USA – Baileys, a popular brand under beverage giant Diageo, has unveiled a new limited-edition product—Baileys Cinnamon Churros Irish Cream Liqueur.

The new offering blends Baileys’ signature Irish cream with the rich flavours of cinnamon, vanilla, and Irish whiskey, inspired by the beloved churro dessert.

The product is aimed at consumers seeking indulgent and unique experiences in the alcoholic beverage market.

Whitney Mullen, Director of Baileys and Liqueurs at Diageo North America, expressed enthusiasm for the new launch.

“We’re always seeking new ways to satisfy the diverse palate of our customers, and we couldn’t be more excited to introduce Baileys Cinnamon Churros Irish Cream Liqueur,” she said.

Mullen emphasized that the product brings the familiar, comforting taste of churros in a format designed for sharing and enjoyment with friends and family.

The introduction of Baileys Cinnamon Churros comes at a time when the flavoured alcohol segment is seeing significant growth.

According to a report by Allied Market Research, the global flavoured alcohol market was valued at US$1.2 trillion in 2022 and is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.6 percent from 2023 to 2032. This growing demand for novel, indulgent flavours in alcoholic beverages is driving innovation across the sector.

Baileys’ recent product launch follows the company’s continued efforts to meet consumer desires for both innovation and sustainability.

In May, Diageo began trials of a paper-based packaging bottle for Baileys, a first for the company in consumer-facing packaging.

The moulded cellulose-fibre pulp packaging aligns with Diageo’s broader sustainability goals, including increasing recycled content in its packaging to 60 per cent and reducing packaging weight by 10 per cent.

Baileys has also introduced lightweight aluminium bottles across European airports, furthering its goal to reduce carbon emissions by 44 percent and ensure that 100 percent of its plastics are recyclable, reusable, or compostable by 2025.
