USA – New York-based Bazooka Candy Brands has bounced back by opening a 120,000-square-foot Ring Pop facility in Moosic following the unexpected closure of its Scranton, Pa., facility last August.
According to the company, the new factory, nearly four times the size of its previous site, will restore production and increase capacity to meet rising consumer demand.
With projections for 2025 exceeding US$100 million in retail sales and producing 1.5 million Ring Pops daily, the candy brand is on track for a milestone year.
Tony Jacobs, CEO of Bazooka Brands, said, “It would not have been surprising for it to take at least a year or more to get back up and running. But we have an incredible team, and I could not be prouder of how they responded.”
“In a matter of weeks, they found a new location. In a matter of months, they moved our equipment. In just six months, the facility, equipment, and team were fully operational again. What an unbelievable accomplishment.”
Jocelyn Stahl, the Chief of Global Operations at Bazooka Candy Brands, expressed optimism about the company’s future.
She emphasised that challenges have been transformed into opportunities, allowing the team to enhance operations and set the stage for exciting growth.
Recently, the brand introduced its new Baby Bottle Pop Twisters, offering three flavour layers. The product features a light and crunchy outer shell, a sweet and chewy centre, and a sour powder at the core. Baby Bottle Pop Twisters come in four flavours: Strawberry, Blue Raspberry, Watermelon, and Berry Blast.
The brand is taking inspiration from its signature bottle shape and dipping powder, launching a sweet and sour chewy candy with a twist on its regular Baby Bottle Pop.
Erin Ludlow, Brand Manager of Bazooka Brands, said, “Baby Bottle Pop is one of the most iconic names in candy. With Baby Bottle Pop Twisters, we’re taking it to new heights, introducing fans to a completely reimagined candy experience with its groundbreaking 3-in-1 texture.”
The NBA sensation Donovan “Spida” Mitchell joined the launch as the candy’s official ambassador.
