Arctic Blue Beverages introduces new ultra-premium Legacy Gin

The award-winning Nordic Beverage company, Arctic Blue Beverages, launches a new ultra-premium Legacy Gin in collaboration with the Finnish design agencies Sarpaneva Design and Infinity.

The product is handcrafted in Finland and matured for 24 months in oak barrels. Arctic Blue Legacy combines Timo Sarpaneva’s world-known glass design with the internationally awarded professionalism of master distiller Asko Ryynänen.

The drink comes in a uniquely designed Legacy bottle which is based on the E415 prototype work designed in 1976 for Iittala by the international force in Finnish design, Timo Sarpaneva (1926-2006).

The limited-edition Arctic Blue Legacy’s purchase rights will be distributed as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), which are records on a blockchain associated with a unique, nonreplicable digital or physical asset.

The main functionalities of NFTs are proof of digital ownership and holder benefits. Arctic Blue Beverages enters Web3 in collaboration with the Web3 digital agency Struggle C&C Ltd.

The product is stored in Arctic Blue Beverages’ professional care until the holder of the NFT decides to exercise their purchase right or transfer ownership over the Ethereum blockchain.

Diageo launches Baileys s’mores-flavoured Irish cream liqueur

Diageo has launched a limited-edition s’mores-flavored Irish cream liqueur under its Baileys brand to help consumers (21+) enjoy the nostalgic treat while providing new and unique ways to indulge.

Baileys S’mores is made with a blend of the brand’s original Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur, toasted marshmallows, and sweet graham crackers with a rich chocolate finish.

The expression is available across the US for a limited time, priced at RRP US$24.99 per 750ml bottle.

Cincoro Tequila expands its offering in a rebranded bottling

Cincoro Tequila, part-owned by former basketball star Michael Jordan, has launched its fifth expression: Cincoro Gold which joins only a handful of 100% de agave gold Tequilas.

This rare Tequila blends all four Cincoro expressions, with generous amounts of Cincoro Extra Añejo Tequila, which is barrel aged for more than 40 months.

Cincoro Tequila is created with agave plants at least seven years of age from Jalisco, Mexico and it is then slow cooked and fermented for six days to retain and create flavors.

All the brand’s Tequilas begin as Cincoro Blanco and are then aged in American whiskey barrels.

The result is an intense flavour experience, with notes of sweet honey, toasted oak, vanilla, and dried fruits.

The company said that the Cincoro Gold experience is reminiscent of a finely aged Scotch or Cognac.

The new bottling is a blend of Cincoro Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, and Extra Añejo.

Priced at US$349.99 per 750ml bottling, Cincoro Gold will be available in the US in October 2022, and online for exclusive pre-release through the e-commerce platform Reserve Bar.

Two Stacks launches ‘world’s first’ single malt RTD

Irish whiskey producer Two Stacks has released a ready-to-drink (RTD) single malt whiskey in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

The 100ml Dram in a Can Single Malt Double Barrel is a vatting of double- and triple-distilled peated malt, which delivers a combination of sweat smoke and spiced vanilla honey.

The whiskey has been matured in ex-Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks, before being canned at 43% ABV.

Shane McCarthy, one of the company’s founders said: “A four-pack of Dram in a Can is meant to be enjoyed at a dinner party, on a camping trip, after a hike, golfing, or skiing. Some may even be trying Irish whiskey for the first time.”

Shane added that sing 10% Bourbon barrel-aged peated malt as the base from which the drink is built, the addition of 50% Oloroso cask-aged triple distilled malt provides those characteristically richer, sweeter notes, while the 40% Bourbon cask-aged double distilled malt allows those heavier malty biscuit notes to shine through beautifully.

The whiskey is said to have a long finish with ‘an afterglow of peppered smoke and biscuity sweetness.

The Single Malt Double Barrel will also be available in 700ml bottles with a nationwide rollout across Sweden scheduled this autumn, and a wider release across Ireland and elsewhere in the coming months.

A dram in a Can is distributed through Anzac Drinks in Northern Ireland, and Irish Malts and Bevella in the Republic of Ireland.

In the UK it is available via Enotria & Co and The Whiskey Exchange, while the company has plans to make them available via a select number of distributors in Europe and the USA in due course.

The drink is sold at an RRP of £22.95 (US$26.83) per 4-pack, or £5.75 (US$6.72) per can.
