Minnesota’s first THC-infused beverage

Minneapolis Cider Co. has taken advantage of the growing trend in cannabis-infused drink consumption trend in the market to launch Trail Magic, a THC-infused beverage brand in Minnesota.

The brand also comes on the heels of a new law that legalized cannabis-infused beverages in Minnesota as of July 1st,2022.

The 9% ABV Trail Magic will be the first THC-beverage Minnesota, even more impressively, the company said this is the fastest they have ever gone to market with a new brand – going from initial idea to launch in only 18 days.

Trail Magic is available in two flavors at launch: Basil Berry and Hop Water, each with 3mg of hemp-derived delta-9 THC per 12oz serving.

The beverages are now widely distributed for a suggested RRP of US$15.00.

Hard Rock International Launches Grab ’n’ Go Cocktails

Hard Rock International (HRI) has launched Hard Rock 10% ABV Grab ’n’ Go Cocktails, which joins spirit-based Classic Hard Rock Cocktails and Hard Rock-Hard Seltzers.

The company said the Hard Rock Grab ’n’ Go Cocktails are designed for those seeking great taste on the run, the 19.2-oz cans are filled with Hard Rock-inspired flavors, including the Hurricane and Long Island Iced Tea.

Each 10% ABV, single serve, gluten-free 19.2-oz can has a suggested retail price of US$2.99 and are available for order now; early accounts include 7- Eleven, Yesway and GPM Investments, LLC.

Barrell Craft innovates Barrell Vintage with high ABV

Barrell Craft Spirits has introduced its newest release in the BCS portfolio, Barrell Vantage, a blend of straight bourbons finished in three expressions of virgin oak: Mizunara, French, and toasted American oak casks.

According to the company, this expression emphasizes each wood characteristic and flavor contribution in the blend and highlights the toasted characteristics of these finishing casks.

This bourbon is said to have an impeccable balance and depth of flavor that embraces different char and toast levels, along with its oak origins.

Barrell Vantage was distilled in Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee, and then blended and bottled in Kentucky at cask strength, 114.44 proof (57.22% ABV).

It is now available at select retailers and online via the BCS website at barrellbourbon.com, for the suggested retail price of US$89.99 per 750 ml. bottle.

Atomics Brands’s offering with 9%ABV

Atomic Brands has expanded its Monaco Cocktails into the hard lemonade category with a new range, Monaco Hard Lemonades.

Monaco Hard Lemonade is available in two flavors: original and peach. The malt-free range offers two shots of vodka in each can and has an ABV of 9%.

The hard lemonades will join the brand’s diverse portfolio of canned cocktails, which includes a selection of vodka, tequila, gin, and rum.

Monaco Hard Lemonades are available at convenience stores nationwide for US$2.50-US$2.99 per 12oz can.

German retail chain partners Scots distillery on new offering

Aldi, a German multinational supermarket, has teamed up with an Edinburgh -based distillery, The Old Curiosity, to launch a new premium gin that has botanicals that are grown, hand-picked, and dried from the distillery Secret Herb Garden which is based at the foot of the Pentland Hills.

The new premium gin has been described as featuring “a fresh floral note, underscored with angelica root, winter savory and coriander botanicals, which gives way to a light juniper finish.”

The Old Curiosity Distillery said that the new spirit will make the perfect artisan tipple and recommends that G&T lovers serve the Eidyn Cherry Blossom Gin with their favorite tonic and a sliver of lime and black cherry garnish.

Aldi’s £19.99 (US$20.01) Eidyn Cherry Blossom Gin is available in all 103 Scottish stores.
