USA – Beyond Meat is introducing two new pre-seasoned versions of its plant-based steak, Beyond Steak Chimichurri and Beyond Steak Korean BBQ-Style.
The new products are now available in the frozen food section at Sprouts Farmers Market locations across the United States.
Beyond Meat states that the expansion is aimed at offering consumers a ready-to-cook, plant-based alternative to conventional steak.
The new steak tips are formulated to replicate the texture and flavor of seared beef while adhering to specific nutritional guidelines.
Each serving delivers 20 grams of plant-based protein and contains 1 gram of saturated fat without any cholesterol.
Both varieties have received certifications from the American Heart Association’s Heart-Check program and the American Diabetes Association’s Better Choices for Life program.
Drew Lufkin, senior vice president of sales at Beyond Meat, describes the original Beyond Steak as a product recognized for its tenderness, juiciness, and flavor.
According to Lufkin, the new additions cater to those who want the taste and texture of steak but prefer an option with lower saturated fat and cholesterol.
The launch aligns with Beyond Meat’s ongoing efforts to update and expand its range of plant-based products.
Last year, the company reformulated its Beyond Burger, Beyond Beef, and Beyond Sausage by incorporating avocado oil into their recipes.
These revised products have also been certified by the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association for their nutritional profile.
Beyond Meat has been expanding into international markets, introducing Beyond Steak to the French food service industry.
In the United Kingdom, the company launched its Smash Burger at Tesco stores.
Additionally, Beyond Meat introduced the Plant Burger at Wendy’s locations in Georgia.
The newly released Beyond Steak Chimichurri and Beyond Steak Korean BBQ-Style are now stocked at Sprouts Farmers Market stores, while the original Beyond Steak remains available at major retailers across the country.
