Bidco Africa heightens focus on immune boosting products, launches joOz Boost+ fruit juice

KENYA – Bidco Africa, East Africa’s leading consumer goods company, has launched an immune boosting variant of its joOz juice brand, tapping into a growing market of health-conscious consumers.

The new joOz Boost+ fruit juice, a first of its kind in Kenya, claims to improve the immune system, boosts prevention of diseases and illnesses, and offers specifically enhanced benefits for excellent health.

BidCo Group Director Chris Diaz revealed that the launch of the product was informed by the fact that, “The contemporary consumer is health conscious, we are also aware that our active population remains keen on products that help boost their immune systems as well as cultivate their inner strength.”

To this end, the company is keeping pace with the fast-growing healthy drinks market with launch of the new drink, offering an eccentric foundation of Vitamin C and Zinc.

Diaz added that joOz Boost+ is among the products being manufactured at the US$200m BIDCO Industrial Park inaugurated in 2019, hosting its beverage and food processing factory

He said the new beverage has been approved by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS), as well as the Ministry of Health through the Pharmacy and Poisons Board after conducting chemical and microbial analysis.

The beverage coming in lemon and orange flavours is readily available on the country’s leading retail outlets in 300ml bottles.

“In line with our mantra of Happy Healthy Living, we remain fully committed to functional nutrition by producing products that aid in the health and wellness of every consumer because we believe that functional drinks market can successfully obtain sturdy growth amid the current challenging economic times,” said Diaz.

Launch of the new drink comes a year after the FMCG manufacturer launched an all-new Golden Fry cooking oil loaded with nutrients.

The nutritious cooking oil coming in a golden bottle is packed with antioxidants as well as vitamin A, D and E, among other nutrients.

Its launch was in response to the rising cases of chronic diseases such as obesity and high blood pressure.

Meanwhile, Coca-Cola Namibia, subsidiary of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) has launched a new locally made fruit juice dubbed Cappy Delight.

According to The Namibian, the new drink is produced in the beverage maker’s newly installed state-of-the-art production line at its Windhoek bottling plant.

This is in line with its expansion plans of availing more products. Cappy Delight comes in a wide range of flavours i.e. guava, mango and tropical flavours.
