KENYA –Kenyan leading processor and marketer of premium dairy products, Bio Foods Ltd, has expanded its yoghurt portfolio with the launch of the new BioActive Power yoghurt drink.

The B Corporation-certified company announced the launch of the new product a few weeks after the launch of another new Bio Orange Biscuit Yoghurt to meet the needs of fitness and health conscious consumers.

“We officially launched our new BioActive Power Probiotic Yoghurt Drink with our staff which is a unique product that gives you high protein (25g), low fat, reduced sugar and a sugar-free option,” Bio said in a Linked post.

Bio Food Products is a dairy company which has been pioneering new concepts in product development and packaging within the East African and the Sub-Saharan Region.

The processor launched the Bio Active Yoghurt options to provide consumers with all the good bacteria that boost the immune system and assists in the digestion of food improving overall well-being.

The Bio Active Probiotic Yoghurt is a delicious fruit yoghurt with real fruits and is available in 3 exciting varieties; Blackberry & Raspberry, Cucumber & Mint, Yuzu, Apple & Lemon.

Bio Foods also produces an expansive range of standard premium yoghurts available in seven delicious flavours which include Vanilla, Peach, Nature plain, tropical mix, berry cocktail, mango, strawberry and the recently launched Orange biscuit flavour.

The dairy giant has also in its wide portfolio Greek-style yoghurts, fruit-on-the-bottom yoghurts, drinkable yoghurts and a non-dairy yoghurt made from coconut milk.

Bio Foods acquired the B Corporation certification, earlier this year, after undergoing a rigorous 2-year impact assessment with B Lab Africa.

The processor became the first and only food and beverage company to receive the certification indicating constant maintenance of a high standard of verified, overall social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability.

“At Bio Foods, we strongly believe in sustainability as a core pillar for our Business and as an organization, we operate within and commit to the triple bottom-line framework, of people, planet, and profit,” the company added.

According to Bio Foods, following the successful launch of its first sustainability report and the campaign on creating awareness of recycling to achieve circular economy goals, the company has caught the attention of many, keen to learn and curious as to how they can join the bandwagon of sustainability and good manufacturing practices.

Earlier this year, Bio Foods celebrated a great win after the business as one of the top 25 most customer Obsessed Brands by the respected Business Monthly-East Africa Edition.
