Created in 2001, Dudutech is Africa’s leader in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) with a wealth of experience in designing and delivering biological pest control solutions.

“This is a unique opportunity to specialize in fresh vegetables and flower production by creating this partnership with the Flamingo Group and to bring our 40-year-old expertise on other crops in the region,” Ludwik Pokorny, CEO of Bioline Agrosciences said.

With its new biofactory in Kenya, Bioline Agrosciences now owns 8 production sites in the world spread across Europe, North America and Africa.

Thierry Blandinières, the CEO of InVivo group said, “This acquisition is a huge step for Bioline, our agricultural subsidiary, which is becoming a major player in biocontrol at the international level.

“It’s perfectly aligned with our vision to promote the agricultural and food transition towards a resilient agro-system, by deploying innovative and responsible solutions and products.”

Giles Turrell, CEO of the Flamingo Group indicated that its company, with substantial growing operations in Kenya and Ethiopia, will continue to use Integrated Crop Management solutions as a production strategy.

“Therefore, it made sense for us to select Bioline Agrosciences as the future owner of Dudutech and preferred supplier. Our leading position in technology with a strong commitment to sustainable farming, will ensure premium quality and innovative biocontrol solutions are widely available for our Group,” he added.

The acquisition will also enable Dudutech to consolidate its leading position in Africa, combining its technologies with the well-known brand and the extensive experience of Bioline Agrosciences.

Multinational producers of pest control products are increasingly setting base in Kenya and the greater Africa region, offering the needed solution to the rampant infestation of the invasive pests causing a crop loss of 49% of the expected total yield each year.

Just the other day, AgBiTech LLC, global leader and innovator of biological pest control in partnership with UPL, formally registered Fawligen a biological control for Fall Armyworm in Kenya.

This came after AgBiTech appointed Golden Agri Inputs Limited (GAIL), subsidiary of Flour Mills of Nigeria Group to be its exclusive distributor of a biological tool in Nigeria.
