BRAZIL – Brenntag Food & Nutrition (Brenntag F&N) has opened its newest Food Application & Development Center (FADC) in Guarulhos, close to São Paulo in Brazil, further increasing its global footprint.

This new facility will enable the Brenntag F&N team in Brazil to offer its customers even more tailored-made services and individual product development solutions.

It will focus on beverages, bakery, dairy, chocolate & confectionery, sauces, meat, convenience foods, functional foods and food supplements.

“Brazil is the largest economy in South America and Brenntag Food and Nutrition has a clear intent to keep growing our participation in this market. The Brazilian market presents a clear opportunity for us to leverage on our global know-how to bring new technologies and application expertise for our customers,” Tomás Navarro, Vice President Brenntag F&N Latin America said.

The new FADC will bring formulation and application know-how of Brenntag F&N to the region and will particularly support the Brenntag F&N teams in Brazil and the Southern Cone, reports Food Ingredients First.

“With this new lab, we will able to bring in all the strength of our global technical network and adapt this knowledge to the particular requirements and preferences of the Brazilian customers.”

“We will be able to strengthen our value proposition towards solutions that integrate our wide product portfolio into finished applications that bring innovation that the Brazilian consumers demand,” adds Navarro.

The FADC is equipped with all necessary state-of-the art equipment and special items such as a photostability and fermentation chamber as well as a texturometer, allowing the team to cater to the individual needs of the customers in order to bring products to the market that address key trends.

“With this new investment in these more challenging times, Brenntag Food and Nutrition shows its commitment to support our customers around the globe, adapting to the local needs while leading with novel applications in line with the market trends,” Navarro concludes.
