Brookside Dairy seeking Coordinator, maintenance, boiler and laboratory technicians

UGANDA – The leading dairy processing company in East Africa, Brookside Dairy Limited is seeking to hire a Products Quality Improvement Coordinator, maintenance, boiler and laboratory technicians.

Products Quality Improvement Coordinator

He/She will be reporting to the Quality Assurance manager with responsibilities to monitor and manage adherence to food safety and compliance to regulatory requirement.

The position requires the job holder to support the food safety of the company by implementing and managing programmes that consistently assure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Academic requirements; Minimum Diploma in Food and Dairy Science or Laboratory Science with knowledge of microbiological, chemical and physical testing as well as knowledge in food CIP programs.

Individuals with good problem solving skills, high degree of accuracy, good record keeping, thorough understanding of customer needs and satisfaction and individuals with at least 3 years experience in FMCG or processing industry are required.

Maintenance technicians

Maintenance Technicians will to Technical manager and responsible for general and preventative maintenance of production machines and equipment in accordance to the set company standards while ensuring an all-time full maintenance of equipment.  

A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering with and at least 3 years of working experience in maintenance in ether dairy or beverage sector is preferred.

The job holder must have excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills, be a team player with knowledge in boiler operations being an added advantage.

Boiler Technician

The boiler technician will report to the Technical Manager and responsible for managing and maintenance of boiler equipment and associated control system, working to ensure the boiler heating systems are safe efficient and maintained.

A minimum diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, certificate of proficiency in boiler operations and at least 2 years experience in boiler operation in the dairy or beverage sector is required.

The individual must possess excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills, and a team player. Knowledge on both HFO and biomass boilers will be an added advantage.

Technical operators

He/She will report to the Production manager responsible for ensuring optimal machine operation and working to a team based environment and safely operate and maintain designated production machines.

A minimum Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, minimum 2 years working experience and ability to operate machines is required.

Laboratory Technicians

The Laboratory technician will be reporting the Quality Assurance Manager and will be required to perform accurate tests in the production process.

He/She should have a minimum Diploma in Food and Dairy Science or laboratory Science with at least 2 years experience in laboratory in the dairy and beverage sector with knowledge in microbial, chemical and physical testing.

Critical skills include: thorough understanding of customer needs and satisfaction, good analytical and problem solving skills, possess high degree of accuracy and good in record keeping.
