USA – Buhler Inc., global company in process engineering and technology for food, feed, and advanced industrial materials has named Andy Sharpe as the next president and chief executive officer of Buhler, Inc., effective Jan. 1.
He succeeds Rene Steiner, who is retiring following a 50-year career with Buhler, and will remain with the company through the transition.
Sharpe was president and CEO of Buhler Aeroglide, a drying applications and thermal processes specialist in Raleigh, North Carolina, U.S. and had served in the position since April 2015.
He joined Buhler in 1996 as market manager responsible for establishing the company’s office in Stamford, United Kingdom and was promoted to regional director for the company’s European, Middle Eastern and African markets.
Before joining Buhler, he had 18 years of experience at APV Baker Perkins.

“Andy’s appointment will allow us to further develop relationships with our customers, based on the foundation laid by Rene and to provide continuity to our teams in North America.”

As head of the Aeroglide business unit, Sharpe built a culture of trust, respect and open communication, transforming that organization into one where entrepreneurship, accountability and innovation flourishes.
He is expected to foster transformational leadership to the North American sales and service organization with the help of world renowned technology solutions.
