Califia Farms launches Creamy Refreshers, a low-sugar coconut-based juice line
Califia Farms introduces Creamy Refreshers, a coconut-based juice line with 60% less sugar, expanding its plant-based beverage portfolio.
USA -Califia Farms has expanded its plant-based beverage lineup with the launch of Creamy Refreshers, a new line of coconut-based juice drinks featuring reduced sugar content.
The range includes four flavors—Strawberry Creme, Key Lime Colada, Piña Colada, and Orange Creme—offering a blend of fruit flavors and coconut cream.
Each variety contains between 8 and 10 grams of sugar per serving, approximately 60% less than leading fruit juice beverages, according to the company. The drinks are free from soy and gluten.
Creamy Refreshers are now available at major U.S. retailers, including Albertsons, Target, and Kroger, with a suggested retail price of US$5.99.
Califia Farms first showcased the products at Expo West and plans to promote them further in partnership with 818 Tequila during the first weekend of the Coachella music festival.
Suzanne Ginestro, Califia’s chief marketing officer, highlighted the company’s commitment to plant-based innovation. “Creamy Refreshers is a perfect example of how our innovation unlocked something new, delicious, and fresh,” she said.
The launch marks another addition to Califia’s growing portfolio, which already features almond, oat, and coconut milks, as well as barista products, ready-to-drink coffees, creamers, and juices.
Last year, the company introduced single-serve options for two of its popular products: matcha almond latte and chai almond latte.
The beverages contain 40% less sugar than average single-serve coffee and tea blends, according to the company.
Additionally, the company expanded its out-of-home portfolio of products and services with the acquisition of Uproot Inc.
Founded in 2019, Uproot Inc. launched its self-serve dairy alternative dispenser system in 2022 and has installed units at more than 150 US education campuses and hospital canteens
