CCEP launches Monster Nitro Cosmic Peach in UK

UK – Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Great Britain Limited (CCEP) has unveiled the latest addition to its popular Monster energy drink lineup: Monster Nitro Cosmic Peach. 

This new product is part of the Monster Additions range, which has generated over £38.5 million (US$42.67M) in sales in the past year, and is now available nationwide in 500ml price-marked cans. 

Monster Nitro Cosmic Peach is designed to meet the increasing demand for flavoured energy drinks, combining the signature Monster Energy blend with a peach flavour enhanced by citrus notes.  

The product is targeted at consumers who seek more intense and varied flavour profiles in their energy drinks. 

The launch of Cosmic Peach comes at a time when the Monster brand has been experiencing significant growth. In the past year, the brand has added £108.5 million (US$120.2M) to its retail value, continuing its double-digit volume growth.  

The brand is valued at over £653.9 million (US$724.7M) in Great Britain, with the flavoured segment of the energy drink market seeing a 16.8 percent increase in value. 

Price-marked packs, such as the £1.49 (US$1.65) cans of Monster Nitro Cosmic Peach, are becoming increasingly important in the convenience retail sector.  

Industry research indicates that young adults are 15 percent more likely to purchase a price-marked product, making Cosmic Peach a strategic offering aimed at attracting this demographic. 

Rob Yeomans, Vice President of Commercial Development at CCEP GB, highlighted the role of innovation in Monster’s growth strategy, noting that the brand has become the fastest-growing major energy brand in Great Britain.  

“There’s still an opportunity for further growth in flavoured energy, and the launch of Monster Nitro Cosmic Peach means we’re bringing even more options that are full of flavour,” Yeomans said.
