ChemPoint partners with PLZ Corp to distribute food release agents, egg wash substitutes

USA – ChemPoint LLC, a subsidiary of Univar Solutions, has entered into a new partnership with PLZ Corp to handle the sales, marketing, and distribution of PLZ’s food release agents and egg wash substitutes. 

PLZ, a North American leader in specialty aerosol product manufacturing, is known for its extensive range of food processing aids. 

The agreement covers the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, and the Caribbean.

Austin Nichols, president of ChemPoint, emphasized the strategic benefits of this collaboration, stating that it would help ChemPoint expand into the food release market while offering PLZ the flexibility and extended market reach needed to grow. 

PLZ Corp, formerly known as Par-Way Tryson, brings its well-known food processing aids to the deal, including Vegalene® all-purpose food release agents, Bak-klene® bread and cake release agents, Par-Way® food processing agents, and Bake-Sheen® egg wash substitute. 

Nick LeVasseur, senior national sales director at PLZ Corp, noted that ChemPoint’s distribution network would enable their products to reach more customers in regions where PLZ’s manufacturing capacity may be limited.

ChemPoint’s role will include vetting and selecting partners to ensure they meet quality standards, furthering its commitment to delivering trusted ingredients to customers. 

This partnership aligns with ChemPoint’s objective of connecting specialty products with clients in need of innovative solutions.

PLZ Corp, headquartered in Illinois, is a prominent manufacturer of specialty aerosol products, distributing over 2,500 branded and private-label items for industries such as food service, personal care, and automotive.
