NIGERIA – Chi Limited, a fast moving consumer good company owned by coco-cola company has launched a new packaging design for its Hollandia Evaporated Milk brand.

The new packaging shows the nutritious benefits of Hollandia Evap Milk, as well as other striking features to connect with consumers.

Evident in the new pack design is the brand’s royal blue background signifying its modern and trendy values and its gold logo depicting its premium positioning. The vibrant rising sun symbolises a new beginning and also the breakfast occasion associated with the brand.

It also features other imageries showing various physical activities, which resonates with consumers who are keen on daily nutrition and healthy boost of daily energy for active lifestyle.

Commenting on the new packaging, CHI Limited’s Managing Director, Mr. Deepanjan Roy, said consumers familiar with the old brand pack design can be assured of the same great taste, quality and numerous nutritional benefits of their favourite milk as it transits to a trendier pack design.

The new Hollandia Evap Milk pack design comes in 60g, 120g and 190g sizes and is available in CHI Shoppe, departmental stores, markets and neighbourhood kiosks in every state of the Federation.

Earlier this year, Hollandia Evap Milk introduced the milk in a 120g pack know as ‘Pere’ selling at N100. The move was to make the milk more affordable and convenient to consumers.

Multinational soft beverage manufacturer, Coca-Cola Company acquired full ownership of the company in January this year to enhance its capacity building and business expansion.

Coca-Cola had first acquired a minority investment in Chi Limited in 2016 holding a 40% stake of the Tropical General Investments Group, the holding company for Chi Limited.

This acquisition signalled Coca-Cola’s optimism about Africa’s consumer opportunity and a commitment to its long-term investment and growth plan on the continent, where it has been present for more than 90 years.

Chi is recognized in West Africa as an innovative, fast-growing leader in expanding beverage categories, including juices, value-added dairy and iced tea with a wide customer base.

The company was established in Nigeria in 1980 and has grown into a rich product portfolio under the Chivita brand for juice products and the Hollandia brand for value added dairy products.
