GLOBAL – The CMA CGM Group, in collaboration with COSCO Shipping, Evergreen, and OOCL, has unveiled the OCEAN Alliance “DAY 8 Product,” reaffirming its commitment to excellence for the eighth consecutive year.
With the partnership recently extended until 2032, this milestone marks CMA CGM’s relentless pursuit of superior service delivery despite prevailing global challenges.
Amid disruptions caused by the unstable situation in the Red Sea, necessitating rerouting of ships through the Cape of Good Hope, CMA CGM and its partners are proactively adjusting rotations to ensure uninterrupted supply chains.
This strategic maneuver aims to uphold the hallmark qualities of the OCEAN Alliance: visibility, reliability, and punctuality.
The “DAY 8 Product” represents CMA CGM’s innovative response to optimize services for its clientele.
With the deployment of 321 container ships, including 119 vessels by the CMA CGM Group, and a total capacity exceeding 4.5 million TEUs, customers can expect unparalleled efficiency and competitiveness across 35 services covering critical global trade routes.
“This latest offering underscores our unwavering commitment to enhancing customer experience,” remarks a spokesperson for CMA CGM. “Through meticulous planning and adaptation, we ensure seamless connectivity and service excellence, despite operational challenges.”
Specifically tailored to cater to Asian markets, the “DAY 8 Product” offers an array of optimized solutions, including six services between Asia and Northern Europe, four services to the Mediterranean, and an extensive network of transpacific services connecting Asia to the East and West Coasts of the United States and Canada.
Despite the suspension of services between Asia and the Red Sea until further notice, the alliance remains steadfast in its mission to provide stability and reliability to global trade networks.
The recent extension of the OCEAN Alliance until 2032 underscores the enduring commitment of industry giants like CMA CGM, COSCO Shipping, Evergreen, and OOCL to support their customers’ evolving needs.
Launched in 2017, the OCEAN Alliance stands as the world’s largest operational shipping network, facilitating agile and innovative solutions across major East/West trade routes.
“As leaders in the maritime industry, we recognize our responsibility to drive sustainability,” affirms Christopher Metrakos, Senior Managing Director of Natural Resources at CMA CGM.
“Our commitment to achieving Net Zero Carbon by 2050 is evident through our deployment of low-carbon energy solutions across the OCEAN Alliance network.”
