INDIA – Coca-Cola India has announced the appointment of Greishma Singh as its new Vice-President of Marketing.

Singh takes over from Arnab Roy, who has been promoted to the position of President – Global Category at Coca-Cola.

Roy will officially begin his new role on September 1, reporting directly to Manolo Arroyo, Executive Vice President and Global Marketing Officer.

Greishma Singh brings over 15 years of experience within the Coca-Cola ecosystem, having held various roles across India and Australia.

In her previous position as Vice-President of Customer and Commercial Leadership, Singh was responsible for driving revenue growth management, customer value creation, and overseeing a customer management group.

Her extensive experience in the company and deep understanding of market dynamics are expected to play a pivotal role in enhancing Coca-Cola India’s brand management and consumer engagement strategies.

Singh’s appointment comes at a time when Coca-Cola India is witnessing robust growth. The company reported double-digit volume growth in the April-June quarter, driven by strong performances from key brands such as Sprite, Fanta, and the locally popular Thums Up.

“The India business recovered nicely from a slow start at the beginning of the year,” said James Quincey, Chief Executive Officer of The Coca-Cola Company.

“We saw double-digit volume growth in the country, and while growth won’t be a straight line, we certainly remain bullish on the Indian market.”

India is Coca-Cola’s fifth-largest market globally, and the company is optimistic about sustaining its growth trajectory, with an expected organic revenue growth of 6-7 percent in 2024.

Earlier this year, Coca-Cola reportedly engaged with four prominent Indian business families for a potential investment of up to US$1 billion and is also considering an initial public offering (IPO) as part of its long-term growth strategy.

However, details of the IPO are still under internal discussion, with no confirmed timeline for the listing.
