USA – The Coca-Cola Company has launched a new line of ready to drink smoothies made of 100% fruit to serve on-the-go consumers who are also conscious of the health-drinking trend.

The range has been unveiled under the Simply Beverages portfolio and comes with convenience especially for customers avoiding the hassle of chopping, blending and cleaning up smoothie ingredients.

The new line of chilled, ready-to-drink, 100% real-fruit smoothies is made with not-from-concentrate juices/purees and natural flavours and will be available in US groceries worldwide.

Simply smoothie™ fruit smoothies comes in three flavors; Strawberry Banana, Mango Pineapple and Orchard Berry.

They will be available in shake-and-sip varieties offered in multi-serve 32-oz, giving shoppers an easy and convenient way to consume a healthy snack.

Simply carafes and single-serve 11.5-oz. bottles and contain between 130 and 140 calories per 8-oz. serving.

The Simply portfolio includes more than 30 not-from-concentrate juices, juice drinks and ades serving health-conscious consumers in a market valued at more than US$5 billion.

Based on reports, the smoothies and ready-to-drink smoothies industry is quickly growing in America where need for convenient-yet-nutritious breakfast, snack and meal replacement options is increasing.

“We’re always looking for ways to grow the Simply brand people know and love while remaining true to our guardrails of simple, non-GMO ingredients, transparent labeling and more,” said Marx.

“This new innovation marries Simply’s equity and fruit credentials with consumer trends.”

The launch will be supported by national advertising starting April, along with in-store sampling and couponing.

In May last year, the company added Simply Light, a new light juice range under the Simply brand in the US.

It included four flavors; Simply Light Orange Pulp Free, Simply Light Orange with Calcium & Vitamin D, Simply Light Lemonade, Simply Light Lemonade with Raspberry.

The company said the products, made exclusively with non-GMO ingredients were developed in response to the growing consumer demand for healthier beverages.
