MOROCCO – In the wake of the recent earthquake in Morrocco, the Coca-Cola Foundation has pledged US$1.4 million for the victims.
This donation will be used to provide essential supplies such as water, food, sanitation, and hygiene materials for the affected families.
The Coca-Cola Foundation also donated US$1 million to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRS).
The IFRS donation adds to US$200,000 from the previously approved grant to CARE deployed to support relief efforts in the affected regions.
In addition, Coca-Cola’s local bottling partners, Equatorial Coca-Cola Bottling Company (ECCBC) Morocco and The Société des Boissons Gazeuses du Souss (SBGS), have emphasized their commitment to support the people and communities during these difficult times.
The joint actions include cash donations, in-kind donations, and safeguarding the welfare of their employees and their families.
“As part of the Coca-Cola system, we extend our support to our valued customers, consumers, retailers, wholesalers, and our dedicated team members. Together, we are more than a business; we are an integral part of the community,” Alfonso Bosch, ECCBC CEO said.
