USA – Coca-Cola is diversifying its North American portfolio for the first time in over three years with the introduction of Coca-Cola Spiced.

This innovative addition promises to transform the classic Coca-Cola experience by infusing it with raspberry and spiced flavors, offering a bold taste sensation.

“Coca-Cola Spiced is not spicy but is Coke’s boldest tasting brand innovation yet, providing an uplifting taste experience unlike any other. Instead, it promises an extraordinary combination of familiar Coca-Cola taste with an added burst of raspberry and spiced notes, providing a unique and uplifting flavor experience,” says the company.

The new offering is available in two varieties; Coca-Cola Spiced and Coca-Cola Spiced Zero Sugar.

The packaging design for Coca-Cola Spiced and Coca-Cola Spiced Zero Sugar is in line with the overall visual identity of Coca-Cola Trademark and its Zero Sugar varieties.

Both varieties feature the classic Coke Trademark red with a sleek swirl of raspberry-inspired colors, showcasing a bold script in white for full sugar and black for zero sugar.

The new offerings are set to hit shelves on February 19, with a 12oz serving of Coca-Cola Spiced said to contain 150 calories and 41g of sugar, comparable to the flagship Coca-Cola.

Coca-Cola attributes the launch of Coca-Cola Spiced to the evolving beverage trends that emphasize enticing and unique flavors.

According to a 2021 study by Kalsec, there is growing consumer interest in spiced flavors in non-alcoholic drinks, showing a 124 percent increase in willingness to try such flavors compared to two years prior.

This move is part of Coca-Cola’s strategy to engage younger consumers and experiment with its signature Cola. In 2022, the company released Coca-Cola Creations, a series of eight limited-edition flavors in vibrant cans and bottles.

As part of this trend, Coca-Cola has also unveiled Happy Tears Zero Sugar aimed at celebrating acts of kindness. This limited edition is the first to be exclusively packaged in a hype kit.

According to Coca-Cola, Happy Tears Zero Sugar draws inspiration from the simplicity of happy tears, capturing optimism and joy from small acts of kindness.

The limited-edition hype kit includes two cans, featuring an embossed iridescent drop of joy, along with various items to encapsulate the essence of happy tears. This exclusive creation will be available from February 17.
