COFCO receives approval to acquire full ownership of Nidera

CHINA – COFCO International has received all required regulatory approval to acquire the remaining minority stake in Nidera Capital B.V., currently held by Cygne B.V.

The acquisition brings COFCO International’s ownership in Nidera to 100%.

The shareholder transaction deal will be closed on Feb. 28. From the closing date forward, COFCO International will have full ownership of two global agribusinesses, COFCO Agri, formerly known as Noble Agri Ltd., and Nidera.

COFCO said it intends to pursue a full integration of COFCO Agri and Nidera into COFCO International in order to leverage the combined capabilities of COFCO Agri’s highly strategic asset base and Nidera’s strong origination and trading networks.
