CANADA – Cott Corporation through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Eden Springs has acquired a leading supplier of bottled water and point-of-use filtration services in the Netherlands, Viteau International.

The acquisition of Viteau strengthens Eden Springs’ density in the region to include 6,500 machines on location, 4,000 of which are bottled water coolers and 2,500 are point-of-use filtration.

Cott is leading provider of home and office bottled water delivery services in North America and Europe and a leader in custom coffee roasting for the US food service industry.

The company acquired Eden Springs in 2016 for around US$525 million, to support its diversification strategy and expand its operations in “Better for You” products and home and office delivery water, coffee, tea and filtration services in the Europeean market.

Expansion in America

Cott Corporation has also announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, DS Services of America has acquired “substantially all of the assets” of WG America Company and certain affiliated companies, The Water Guy.

The acquisition of The Water Guy, a leading provider of water solutions and office coffee service to residential and commercial customers, will grow the customer base of DS Services by more than 7,500 in eastern and central Pennsylvania, northern Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey.

Notably, The Water Guy has become one of the largest independent distributors in the mid-Atlantic since its founding in 1990, growing its footprint and customer base through organic growth and acquisitions.

Cott said that customers of The Water Guy will now be served by Crystal Springs, the DS Services brand in the region, and will be able to select additional products for their orders, including coffee and tea, sparkling water beverages.
