Country Malt Group partners AB Biotek to provide distillers yeast in North America

UK – Country Malt Group, a premier supplier of craft beverage ingredients for North American brewers and distillers, has teamed up with AB Biotek to provide yeast for distilled spirits producers in the North American marketplace.

AB Biotek, a business division of AB Mauri, is a producer of yeast, associated technologies, and integrated fermentation solutions.

Effective today, Country Malt Group will begin distributing an existing portfolio of AB Biotek distillers’ yeast under the Pinnacle brand.

The Pinnacle range of ingredients for the distilled spirits industry consists of specially-selected yeasts that produce high-quality products, from traditional bourbon and whiskey to rum, gin, vodka, and more.

The pinnacle product line includes Pinnacle Distillers Yeast M, Pinnacle Distillers Yeast MG+, Pinnacle Distillers Yeast G, and Pinnacle Distillers Yeast S.

Pinnacle Distillers Yeast M is an active dry yeast well-suited for use in malt-based fermentations and rapidly consumes maltose as well as produces a flavorful spirit.

Pinnacle Distillers Yeast MG+ is composed of an active dry yeast well-suited for use in both malt and grain fermentations that has the collective capability to tolerate high gravity and temperature.

Pinnacle Distillers Yeast G is an active dry yeast well-suited for use in simultaneous saccharification fermentation of starch substrates from grain and has a high tolerance to liberated glucose.

The agreement is further supported by Country Malt Group’s outstanding track record of service and education, co-branded advertising, marketing, and trade show materials.

The partnership has been formed at a time when the market for brewers’ yeast is growing globally due to the increased consumption of alcoholic beverages, and bakery products.

In addition, increased global use of nutritional and dietary supplements, as well as increased knowledge of the health benefits associated with their use is also driving the growth.

According to Industry ARC, the global Brewer’s Yeast Market size is projected to reach US$5.93 billion by 2027, growing at a CAGR of 8.70% over the forecast period of 2022-2027.

This agreement succeeds another agreement between AB Biotek with BSG and Pacific Coast Chemicals to provide yeast for wine to the North American marketplace signed in January 2022.

In the agreement, Pacific Coast Chemicals will continue its distribution of the Maurivin portfolio of wine yeast in an arrangement that dates back to 2002.

While BSG begun distributing a new lineup of AB Biotek wine yeast under the Pinnacle brand that consist of specially-selected yeasts that produce high-quality wines, from traditional red and white varieties to rosé and champagne.
