Godrej Jersey expands its flavored milk basket
Godrej Jersey, an Indian private dairy player in Southern India and a subsidiary of India’s diversified agribusiness, Godrej Agrovet, has expanded its flavored milk basket with the launch of Nutty Badam flavored milk.
The company said it is made of full-cream milk loaded with almond bits, it is a healthy drink for consumers who prefer to drink a healthy and filling beverage and also like to chew on nutritious almonds.
According to Godrej Jersey, the new milk brand consists of essential nutrients, such as potassium, proteins, zinc, calcium, carbohydrates, phosphorus, and vitamin D, A, and B12, aiding in building and repairing muscles, and is a healthy post-workout and hydration beverage.
Godrej Jersey Nutty Badam Milk will be available in five southern states including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.
Bareballs introduces Lemon Cheesecake in UK
Barebells has expanded its flavor portfolio in the UK with the launch of a limited-edition milkshake, Lemon Cheesecake.
In line with Barebells existing range of milkshakes, the newly launched flavor contains 24 grams of protein, has no added sugar, and is lactose-free.
The company said the Barebells Milkshake Lemon Cheesecake is a protein-rich drink that is perfect as a snack or immediately after exercise.
The Ingredients: Milk (64%), milk protein concentrate, water, stabilizers (cellulose, cellulose gum, carrageenan), flavorings, cocoa butter, acidity regulators (sodium phosphate), color (curcumin), sweeteners (acesulfame-K, sucralose), lactase.
“It’s the perfect blend of sweet, tart, and creamy, as creamy as an actual cheesecake, yet it has a light and airy milkshake feel to it”, said Amy Banerjee, head of marketing at Barebells.
Barebells Lemon Cheesecake is available to purchase at selected gyms and stores nationwide at an RRP of £2.49.
Vitasoy debuts Fresh Vitasoy Plant+
Chinese beverage company, Vitasoy International Holdings, has debuted a milk alternative for its namesake brand.
Fresh Vitasoy Plant+ includes oat and almond milk varieties with zero cholesterol, low sugar, and high calcium.
Crafted in Hong Kong, products are also fortified with vitamin D and have no added preservatives, while also featuring a smooth, milky texture perfect for a range of uses.
Tinny Chan, dietitian and group nutrition manager at Vitasoy, said: “Adding fresh plant milk to our daily diet is a delicious way to enjoy plant-based goodness. For instance, Fresh Vitasoy Plant+ Milk is perfect for breakfast cereals or smoothies by adding a milky taste and creamy texture to the recipe, while providing a great number of important nutrients such as calcium and vitamin D.”
Van Leeuwen Ice Cream launches seven new flavors
Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, known for its dairy and vegan ice cream, has launched seven new flavors now available at 3,500 Walmart locations across the US, for the next 10 weeks.
For its third rotation at Walmart, Van Leeuwen has collaborated with Tapatío Hot Sauce to bring some heat to its ice cream.
This new rotation also includes the seasonal launch of Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll and Sweet Potato Marshmallow Casserole, Van Leeuwen’s alternative take on the classic autumn dessert, featuring swirls of caramel.
The rotation of new flavors includes Mexican Hot Chocolate, made in collaboration with Tapatío Hot Sauce, Sweet Potato Marshmallow Casserole, Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll, and Wildberry Layer Cake. Other flavors include Strawberry, Hazelnut Fudge Cookie, and Honeycomb.
Cathedral City launches first vegan cheddar range in UK
Cathedral City, a brand owned by Saputo Dairy UK that’s known for its cheddar, has introduced its first-ever vegan range in response to the growing demand for dairy-free options in the country.
The three products in the range, include grated, large slices, and block and are described as having a mature cheddar flavor.
Available in a 280g block format at £3.60(US$3.59), the cheese made from coconut oil and potato starch can also be purchased in 150g grated and sliced variations at RRP £2.30 (US$2.30)in Big 4 grocer Tesco.
The company said it had sought feedback from consumers who eat a dairy-free diet and found that 84% said they would purchase it.
