#Dairy Innovation Monday: New launches from Nestlé, Pinkberry, Beyond Better Foods, Mars, and DiGiorno

GLOBAL – The #Dairy Innovation Monday section this week features new interesting additions from Nestlé, Pinkberry, Beyond Better Foods, Mars, and DiGiorno.

Nestlé launches plant-based toddler drink

Nestlé has introduced Little Steps Plantygrow Plant-based Growing Up Drink, as its new plant-based drink for toddlers, under its SMA Nutrition Baby Milk range.

The company emphasizes that the drink is not a breast milk substitute, but rather a nutritional product designed to be enjoyed by toddlers from 1-3 years of age as part of a varied and balanced diet and can be enjoyed as a drink, or added to smoothies and shakes.

According to Nestlé, the drink is a good source of vitamins A, C, D, B2, and B12, as well as iron, and has been enriched with iodine and omega-3, and omega-6.

The new offering comes as a ready-to-drink liquid in on-the-go resealable cartons. A 200ml size is available now in Tesco and will be arriving in Asda stores along with a 1-liter pack.

Pinkberry launches new line of flavored yogurt and smoothies

Pinkberry, an Arizona-based frozen yogurt store has debuted its new Lava Swirl frozen yogurt and smoothie, which combines a variety of flavors.

Lava Swirl combines the flavors of fresh strawberries, juicy pineapple, and tropical coconut, which can evoke feelings of sipping on a smooth, cool strawberry piña colada, the company said.

In addition, the company said the featured toppings for the frozen yogurt swirl include pineapple, coconut shavings, strawberry puree, and whipped cream.

The products are available in participating stores nationwide for a limited time until Aug. 18.

Beyond Better Foods enlarges on low sugar ice cream brand

Beyond Better Foods has expanded Enlightened‘s low-sugar ice cream pint lineup with the introduction of four new flavors.

The new offerings include flavors such as Kookie Dough, consisting of vanilla-flavored ice cream with chunks of chocolate chip cookie dough and chocolate sandwich cookie pieces.

It also extends to  Chocolate P.B. Crunch, which includes chocolate ice cream with a thick peanut butter swirl and fudge-covered peanuts.

Additionally, Coffee Toffee contains coffee-flavored ice cream with fudge-covered toffee pieces; and Chocolate Caramel Pecan Crunch includes chocolate ice cream with roasted pecan pieces and a caramel swirl.

Enlightened’s new ice cream variant contains 130 calories,70-80% less sugar per serving, and is available in US grocery stores nationwide and online.

New creation from Mars for British dairy consumers

 

Mars Chocolate, Drinks, and Treats (MCD&T) has launched a new M&M’s Brownie Milk drink in the UK market.

The M&M’s Brownie Milk joins MCD&T’s milk drinks range comprising Mars, Mars Caramel, Maltesers, MilkyWay, Twix, Snickers, Bounty, and Galaxy and is suitable for vegetarians and contains no added sugar.

In an eye-catching 350 ml PMP on-the-go bottle, Mars hopes to tap into the market with M&M’s Brownie Milk drink – a new flavor combination of chocolate brownies encased in an M&M’s shell and creamy milk.

Crunchy crust to ice cream cones from DiGiorno

Nestlé’s frozen pizza brand DiGiorno is offering ice cream cones made from its Croissant Crust, a bestselling variety with a base of the buttery pastry that debuted in 2020.

DiGiorno is offering the cones as part of a kit in partnership with an unspecified Cleveland-based creamery, which is supplying two pizza-inspired flavors of ice cream: Strawberry Tomato Basil and Parmesan Cheese.

The kit will not be sold in stores, according to DiGiorno but instead, consumers can enter to win one through an online sweepstake that runs from July 7 to 17.
