Saputo launches vegan-certified Vitalite cheese

Saputo Dairy USA has launched a new brand of plant-based, vegan-certified, dairy-free cheese called Vitalite that offers great taste, texture, visual appeal and melting performance stated the company.

Vitalite plant-based cheeses are ingredients to add melty goodness to any meal, no matter anyone’s dietary preferences, said Laura Prepon.

Vitalite is available in six varieties: Plant-Based Mozzarella Style Slices; Plant-Based Mozzarella Style Shreds; Plant-Based Cheddar Style Slices; Plant-Based Cheddar Style Shreds; Plant-Based Grated Parmesan Style; and Plant-Based Creamy Original Spread.

Eclipse Foods partners with Smashburger to release plant-based milkshakes

Plant-based dairy brand Eclipse Foods has announced partnering with burger chain Smashburger to release the QSR industry’s first nationally available plant-based milkshakes.

Offered in six flavors for US$6.19 each, customers can now enjoy the Eclipse milkshakes at all US Smashburger locations, as well as order through mobile delivery apps, the partners revealed.

The first plant-based milkshakes offering for Smashburger are available in Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Peanut Butter, Tangerine Dream, and Oreo flavors.

The shakes perfectly mimic the delicious taste and texture of traditional dairy milkshakes and require no flavor sacrifice from consumers and are available nationwide in the US, the company stated.

Danone adds vegan mousse in vanilla flavor to shelves

Danone, one of the world-leading food companies has extended its Danette range by adding a vegan mousse in vanilla flavor.

The Danette range is available in French supermarkets at a price of around 2.69 euros for 4 jars of 57 grams.

The base of this Nutri-score C mousse is coconut milk, which was already the base of Danette Chocolate Dessert and Danette Chocolate Mousse.

Danone North America launch Activia+ Multi-Benefit Probiotic Yogurt Drinks to support gut health

Danone North America has partnered with White Plains, N.Y., and Boulder, Colo., to launch Activia+ Multi-Benefit Probiotic Yogurt Drinks as the latest innovation hitting grocery coolers.

Packed with billions of live and active probiotics that help support one’s gut health, Activia+ also is an excellent source (20% DV) of vitamins C, D, and zinc to support the immune system, the partners said.

Activa+ is available nationwide at such retailers as Kroger, Publix, Stop & Shop, Target, Mariano’s, and more and comes in 3.10-ounce bottles in 6-packs.

Bega launches GOOD SPORT beverage for the sportsmen

The Bega recently launched its first scientifically backed sports milk after research proved that flavored milk can optimize exercise recovery.

GOOD SPORT was launched under Bega’s 180 Nutrition brand by Bega Dairy and Drinks, the market leader in flavored milk beverages in Australia.

GOOD SPORT is available in both 350mL chocolate and strawberry flavors in the flavored milk fridge at select Coles and Woolworths stores, independent retailers, and convenience stores nationally.

Land O’Lakes debuts sweet cream butter balls to make cooking easier

Land O’Lakes, an agribusiness and food company has debuted sweet cream butter balls in pre-portioned sizes designed to make cooking easier.

The half-tablespoon-sized balls come packaged in a resealable half-pound bag and will be sold at retailers in the Midwest.
