DENMARK – Danish Crown has announced the appointment of Anders Aakaer Jensen as its new Group CFO, a move underscoring the company’s focus on securing leadership with deep expertise in transformative corporate environments.
Anders Aakaer Jensen brings a wealth of experience to the role, having been a key figure in significant organizational changes at major international firms.
His appointment follows the recent hiring of Niels Duedahl as Group CEO, positioning the company for a critical phase of strategic evolution and transformation.
Asger Krogsgaard, Chairman of the Board, highlighted Jensen’s track record of driving growth and managing complex changes in challenging conditions as crucial factors in his selection.
Krogsgaard expressed confidence in Jensen’s ability to navigate Danish Crown through its upcoming transformation, citing his success in similar roles at DOVISTA and Bang & Olufsen as evidence of his capability.
Jensen, who has served as Group EVP and Group CFO at DOVISTA since 2018, has been instrumental in steering the company through a period of robust growth.
His tenure at DOVISTA, a subsidiary of VKR Group known for its window and door solutions, involved overseeing operations across multiple European markets.
Prior to DOVISTA, Jensen held the position of Group CFO at Bang & Olufsen from 2014 to 2018, where he played a pivotal role in managing financial difficulties and initiating a major business overhaul.
His earlier career includes a long stint at Grundfos, where he was Group SVP of Corporate Finance.
In a statement, Jensen expressed his enthusiasm for joining Danish Crown, acknowledging the company’s significant role in Danish agriculture and cooperative movements.
He emphasized his readiness to tackle the upcoming challenges alongside CEO Niels Duedahl and the rest of the management team.
Jensen is set to begin his new role at Danish Crown by December 1st, succeeding Thomas Ahle, who is transitioning to a Group CFO position at STARK Group.
