USA – Danone North America has expanded its Silk brand offerings with the launch of a new dairy-free half & half alternative in the US.

The new Silk Dairy-Free Half & Half Alternative use oatmilk as part of its formulation and provides the neutral flavor and creamy texture that half & half lovers expect, but it’s completely plant-based.

Each serving contains no amount of added sugar, 1.5g of fat, and is free of dairy, nuts, artificial flavors, gluten and cholesterol. The brand added that the product is also also keto-friendly.

“Silk is excited to expand its lineup of dairy-free options for those who want a splash of cream — without the ‘moo’ — in their morning brew,” said Martha Opela, Senior Brand Manager for Silk.

“Silk Dairy-Free Half & Half Alternative tastes great and supplies the creaminess you crave, without any dairy or added sugar, and it’s hitting shelves at the perfect time — the thick of winter, when cozying up with a cup of coffee just feels right.”

Silk Dairy-Free Half & Half Alternative is available now for a suggested retail price of US$4.29 per 32-oz. carton at retailers nationwide.

The Dairy-Free Half & Half Alternative is the recent addition to Silk’s growing portfolio following the recent launch of Silk Dairy Free Heavy Whipping Cream Alternative a plant-based alternative to dairy-based heavy whipping cream.

The new Silk Dairy Free Heavy Whipping Cream Alternative was launched this January and is now available for a suggested retail price of $4.49 per pint at grocery retailers nationwide.

“Silk saw an opportunity for a plant-based heavy whipping cream alternative and wanted to provide an easy swap for those looking to incorporate more dairy-free options into their diet,” adds David Robinson, senior brand manager for Silk.

“As America’s No. 1 plant-based beverage brand, we see it as our responsibility to create plant-based options that everyone will love and enjoy.”
