USA – J&K Ingredients has announced the appointment of David Meggs as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Meggs, who previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Blommer Chocolate Company, steps into this role with over 25 years of experience in the food sector.
His extensive background includes previous leadership positions at Cargill and Corbion, which have provided him with a broad understanding of global food markets.
In his new role, Meggs is expected to drive the company’s efforts in expanding its range of natural, clean label, and organic ingredients.
Meggs expressed his enthusiasm about joining J&K Ingredients, acknowledging the company’s strong reputation and established foundation in delivering high-quality ingredients to the bakery industry.
He stated that he looks forward to contributing to the company’s success and leading it through its next phase of growth.
J&K Ingredients, established in 1899, specialises in clean label performance ingredients and operates under the ownership of SK Capital Partners, a private investment firm focused on specialty materials, ingredients, and life sciences.
In late 2023, SK Capital acquired J&K Ingredients, a company specializing in food and beverage ingredient solutions with an emphasis on natural, organic, and clean label products.
SK Capital’s portfolio includes businesses generating around US$17 billion in annual revenue, employing over 25,000 people worldwide, and operating more than 200 facilities across 30+ countries.
The firm manages approximately US$7.9 billion in assets.
