SOUTH AFRICA – Daybreak Foods, a renonwed South African poultry and eggs company,  has officially joined the ranks of the Animal Feed Manufacturers Association (AFMA).

This move emphasises the company’s dedication to maintaining high standards in animal feed production and other products.

The company’s inclusion in the association reflects its ongoing commitment to excellence and quality in the sector, positioning it alongside other key players in the industry.

According to a statement from Daybreak Foods CEO Richard Manzini, the company’s membership in AFMA is not just a milestone in its operational journey but also a step toward contributing more actively to the broader objectives of the industry, particularly in areas such as innovation and sustainability.

Manzini emphasized that Daybreak’s alignment with AFMA is about more than just being part of a community of like-minded businesses; it is about enhancing the company’s role in advancing the industry’s best practices.

Under Manzini’s leadership, Daybreak Foods has seen a significant transformation over the past year.

The company, which previously faced reputational challenges due to issues such as Avian Influenza, increasing feed costs, and the impact of frequent load shedding, has made a remarkable turnaround.

Through a series of strategic initiatives, Manzini has stabilized operations, attracted top talent, and restored relationships with key customers.

These efforts have not only improved the company’s standing in the industry but also preserved over 3,300 jobs during a difficult economic period, thereby regaining the trust of stakeholders.
